Sacred Sunday

Last night I was honored to be included in L.A. Direct's weekly dinner and gab fest at The Cheesecake Factory in Sherman Oaks.

Now, this is a big deal!

L.A. Direct is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, agency in adult entertainment and they consider their Cheesecake Factory Sundays to be a sacred event. I think it's like their religion. Very ritualistic. Same place, same time, must be observed by those invited or punishable under God aka company head and straight porn stud, Ben English.

But really, who would want to miss it? Right?

Apparently, Ben's girlfriend and my mutual crush, Hannah Harper, misses it every week. "Hannah never comes," English told me upon his arrival.

I immediately rang her cell and chewed her out on her answering machine, asking why, for the love of God, when I am surrounded by vaginas everywhere I turn, is one of of them not her's?

There was A LOT of pussy there! Seriously. And I had so many lemon drops I can't remember half of their names. Some of them were really adorable though! Eva Angelina is the girl in the pics who manages to look hot even in glasses. I didn't get a chance to talk to her much, but she is cute as hell.

I bonded a bit with Heidi Mayne though as we chatted about how to put your lovers in choke holds. She is in fact married to a cop who she was in a hurry to get home to because she'd promised him he could fuck her up the ass before bedtime. She is usually a dom, but he is the only man in her life to not be submissive, "a very macho guy who doesn't want anything coming anywhere near his ass."

I went with Richelle Ryan who recently became a part of the L.A. Direct family. I hadn't seen her since early February because she was out of town and then I was out of town so it was great to catch up with her again. I'd missed her! We both drooled over hottie Christian the entire evening and fantasized about dragging him to the bathroom, smacking him around and spitting in his face while he fucked her. He is also part of the L.A. Direct family and goes so far as to schedule his business trips and vacations around these sacred Sunday dinners.

Let's talk about Christian for a moment, shall we?

Because of the, let's say, "wide variety" of movies Christian has starred in throughout his career, he has not exactly had an easy ride of it in the straight porn community. Yet, he has somehow managed to rise from the ashes of all the controversy as one of the most frequently sought after male performers in the business. Now how is that?

All night girls were literally hanging all over him. Touching his body, feeling him up, riveted to his every word, staring at him from across the table. No wonder he never misses a Sunday! But what they all agree on is that Christian is incredibly charming and funny, with no pretention whatsoever. He's refreshingly comfortable just being himself. There's no "act" with this one.

I had several of the girls tell me during the evening that they had random strangers emailing them when they started doing scenes with him, "You shouldn't work with him because of the kind of movies he's made in the past. He needs to be on your 'no' list."

This has happened with a lot of "crossover" porn stars and up until now, girls have always taken that advice, scared that the fans will stop buying or the directors will stop hiring. But when it comes to Christian, for some reason, they refuse to listen. I asked them why and they all said the same thing: "Because he's a great fuck!"

Which just goes to prove, I suppose, no matter what industry you're in, talent will win out every time.

What is maybe even more shocking is that Christian hasn't buckled under the pressure. If the girls are getting those kind of comments, you can just imagine what he has been up against. He had confided in me in the past that it has been very difficult to deal with at times and I could tell just by the sound in his voice that "difficult" is probably his personal understatement of the year.

But by staying true to himself and refusing to back down (and apparently by just being a great fuck!), Christian has opened the door in the past couple of years for other crossover stars who might have had the door slammed in their face if it weren't for agents and starlets scratching their heads going, "Well... Christian did it!"

I have a sneaking suspicion that someday, many many years from now, people will praise him instead of lambasting him. Say what you will, but he is becoming one of those people who unconsciously change the way we look the industry; in this case specifically, our talent pool.

The funny thing is, he could probably care less. He's not in it for the attention. If anything, he'd prefer people leave it alone. He just loves him some pussy and even last night told me, "I still can't believe I'm being paid to do this."

Anyway, I didn't stay for dinner. I didn't realize it would be over an hour before we actually ordered and I had to make an 11:20 pm showing of Zodiac in Hollywood with Brandon Baker and Rusty. The movie? Eh, decent. A little too long. The company? Always a pleasure with those two.
