Acting Out
It's a very exclusive showcase run out of a studio called Expressions Unlimited by Bobbie Chance, the ever eccentric acting coach seen on E!'s Fight for Fame and the WB's The Starlet. She has coached and/or spawned from her studio great talent like Richard Dreyfuss, Andy Garcia, Drew Barrymore, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman and Giovanni Ribisi. Sometimes her celebrity clients will come into the showcase and do improv with us, some of whom have included Anthony Hopkins, Kathy Bates, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
So now, instead of hosting a porn show in West Hollywood on Thursday nights, I'll be performing in a mainstream acting showcase. And I kind of like that!
I have also updated the Current Projects page at my mainstream web site, JasonSechrest.com, where you can stay up to date with all of that kind of information. Most recently, I worked on the special edition DVD of the Madonna movie, Shanghai Surprise. I was hired by Lionsgate Films to lend my comedic skills to the audio commentary. ("No one even remotely involved in this movie wanted to do the audio commentary for it, so here I am!") That hits store shelves on Tuesday, April 10th.
Also now available from producer/director Steven Balderson is a new movie, Phone Sex, where I'm featured along with fellow comedians Margaret Cho, Edie McClurg and Penn Jillette. Here's some video footage I found from the Phone Sex premiere where I took pornstress Richelle Ryan as my date. We turned out to be a huge hit for the media that was there, as well as Balderson's own film crew!

Congratulations on returning to the acting showcase. I love the theater and acting. I am going to direct a production starting in April and the production dates will be the first two weeks of May. The play is "The Supporting Cast" by George Furth. I was actually going to direct "Twigs" by George Furth but the actress I wanted wasn't going to be available and you need the right actress for the show because she plays 3 different sisters and the mother.
I have exactly 5 weeks from start to finish to put it on but luckily there are only 5 characters in the play.
I will say 'break a leg' on your new endeavors.
Ronald
Ronald, If it's a pay gig I'll come do it and stay with you! haha We'll sell LOTS of tickets! :-P xo L, J.
Well unfortuantely it is community theater, so no pay. With your talent I have no doubt I could sell seats.
